Sausages Bun

Pull-apart sausages bun or mini sausages bun, anything you like to call it but I just want to tell you here that these sausages buns are awesome. Mini items are very common nowadays, hence I give you the mini sausage bun and the kids just love it very much. It remains soft till the next day.

You can use any sausages you but I prefer to use cheese cocktail sausage from Ayamas.

Let me talk less and share the recipe here

Sausage Bun
Recipe source from : Allie's Private Paradise

What you need:-
-250g high protein flour (I used Japanese bread flour)
-1 tsp instant yeast
-1/2 tsp salt
-15g brown sugar (I used molasses sugar)
-100g milk
-70g water
-15g unsalted butter

-some sausages
-some sesame seed
-egg wash

Method:-
1) Dump all the ingredients inside the TM bowl
2) Knead (button) for 3 mins
3) Remove it from TM bowl and roll the dough into a greased bowl. Cover it with clip wrap and let it rest for an hour or double the volume
4) Release the air then shape it into desired pattern and rest for another hour
5) Apply the egg wash and top it with some sesame seed
6) Bake it at 150c for 20 mins

Make sure you dry the sausages using kitchen towel before you use it. If not the sausage will not stick to the bun.

My babe is doing her job now!

Just a normal bun but my family all love it, especially the boy.

Look at the cheese. It's really nice when you eat with the sausage together because you can taste the saltiness of the sausage.

Enjoy!

Marmite Prawn

This is my first time cooking Marmite prawns! It has been in my cooking list for a very long time. It's not that I do not have prawns or Marmite sauce. I just did not have the intention to cook it
(っ^▿^).  I went to Max Value one day and I was at the cashier waiting for payment. I saw some Marmite on the shelf behind and was thinking whether to buy or not? want or not? LOL~finally I bought one bottle back.

So, I searched some other ingredients online and some of the ingredients that I do not have at home and I do not want to buy a bottle and only use it once. Then I use whatever I have at home. If you do follow my blog, you will know that I do not have the actual measurements in my cooking. So please adjust accordingly.

Marmite Prawns
Recipe source from : Fiona Low

What you need:-
-500g Large prawns
-3 tbsp Marmite
-2 tbsp organic honey
-1 tbsp molasses sugar
-some hot water to dilute
-minced garlic
-sesame seed

Method:-
1) Clean the prawns and remove the guts. Tap it with kitchen towel to remove the access water.
2) Air Fry the prawns using AF at 180c for 8 mins then set aside
3) In a small bowl, add in the marmite, honey, sugar and water to dilute it
4) In a sauce pan, add in the garlic and stir fry until golden brown then add in the marmite mixture and cook till it is slightly thicken then add in the prawns.
5) Keep an eye on the sauce. Turn off the flame once the sauce has thicken
6) Garnish it with some sesame seed

You really need large prawns for this because when you AF the prawns, its look smaller.

Mmmm.. I feel the taste of marmite is very strong and it is different from what I had in the restaurant but my hubby told me of course it is different! Outside food they put more sugar than the marmite. Oh~~~ okay, as long they love it, I'm happy enough. ≧◠‿●‿◠≦

New York Cheesecake

New York Cheesecake? I'm not sure how close I got to the real thing but here is my own version of Mini New York Cheesecake! LOL~ But it's very similar, only miniature . As I know that New York Cheesecake they add lemon juice and zest but my hubby and the boy do not like lemon taste in any type of cake. So I omitted the lemon~

I love these tiny cheesecakes. Normally I would only make non-bake cheesecake because no need to use the oven and this baked cheesecake was my very first try. The taste is much more delicious than those non-bake ones.

I bought these mini cake pan and never used them before. Love this mini cake pan so much but 10 pcs are never enough. I will buy another 10 pcs. If you interested to buy it also can search Facebook at LittleBakery House . Now let me share my recipe here :-

Yellow Wine Chicken

Normally, we will eat yellow wine chicken when we, ladies are in confinement. But nowadays yellow wine chicken has become a very common dish to cook at home. To get the best yellow wine chicken taste, you really need a very good yellow wine.

There are plenty of versions to cook this dish. My version is Hokkien style. We add in dark soy sauce and sugar. That is why you can see it is darker in colour. Cantonese style are usually lighter in colour because they do not add in any seasoning at all. But I do not like the taste.

-Bentong ginger (sliced)
-Chinese mushrooms (soaked and sliced)
-Yellow wine
-Sesame oil
-Dried oyster (soaked)
-Yuk zhuk (Chinese herb)
-Kei zhi (wolfberries)

Seasoning:-
-Dark soy sauce
-Brown sugar

Method:-
1) In a wok, use the sesame oil to saute the ginger till aromatic
2) Add in the mushrooms, oyster and yuk zhuk and stir fry a while
3) Then add in the chicken. Stir fry until u see the chicken changes colour
4) Pour in the yellow wine, make sure the wine covers the chicken
5) Bring it to a boil, add in dark soy sauce, brown sugar and kei zhi
6) Then reduce to simmer until the wine gets thicker
7) Serve with steamed hot rice

Homemade yellow wine (I bought it at Pasar Pagi, Bukit Tinggi) and sesame oil. My colleague told me this brand is not bad so I tried it out.

My mum tasted it too and she said my cooking is not bad! hehehe... but I feel that the that she cooked tastes much better than mine.

I love to eat yellow wine chicken. But of course those that tastes delicious one~ hehe

Ayam Pandan

Since I bought one bunch of pandan leaves and can not finish it after I used some to make pandan juice, pandan roses, homemade pandan kaya and ondeh ondeh. There are still plenty of it so why not make some ayam pandan for dinner!

Ayam pandan is so easy to make. What you need to do is just give it a good marination. Lets go directly to the recipe.

(Marination)
-turmeric powder
-coriander seeds/powder
-light soy sauce
-sesame oil
-pepper
-2 tbsp ginger juice
-1 tbsp minced garlic
-2 tbsp organic brown sugar
-1 tbsp concentrated pandan juice

-Pandan leaves (wash and set aside)

Method:-
1) Marinate the chicken for at least 4 hrs but best overnight
2) Wrap the chicken with pandan leaves and secure it with a toothpick

I can see from the picture the ingredients are all very easy and simple. I immediately flipped to the recipe I plan to cook then I used google translate to translate it!

This recipe is very simple. I can not get the actual ingredients from the google translate but I simply use whatever ingredients I have in the fridge.
