German Cookie



German Cookie
Recipe source from : Little Duck's Kitchen














What you need:
-125g butter (room temperature)
-50g icing sugar
-125g potato starch
-90g cake flour/low protein flour
-15g milk power (I used son's milk powder)
-Some black sesame (for eyes)
-Round candy (for ear)
-Some beetroot powder for the nose and tail

For the nose and tail:
-take around 40g of the dough and add in the beetroot powder (mix well)

Method:-
1) Beat the butter and icing sugar until creamy
2) Add in the dry ingredients and mix well (i used spatula to fold in)
3) Weight 9g each and roll into oval shape
4) Continue with the eyes, ear, nose and tail
5) Bake at 150c for 20 to 25 mins


I am using this round candy for the ear. I choose out all the pink color



Lastly i packed them into combo packages.

Almond Chocolate Chips Cookie

This recipe is a keeper. Previously, I used those chocolate chip from bakery shop and found that the sweetness is out of control. I try to reduce sugar but failed too. Finally I bought semi sweet chocolate chip from Village Grocer "Hershey's" brand. The problem all gone and now I have a very delicious cookie for my children.

What you need :
-160g Semi sweet chocolate chip
-100g Almond chunk/nibs
-90g brown sugar
-50g white sugar
-180g self raising flour
-125g butter
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-1 egg

Method :
1) Mix the butter and sugar until creamy
2) Add in egg and vanilla extract and mix well
3) Mix in the flour, chocolate chips and almond chunk
4) Scoop the dough using tsp and drop it in the baking tray
5) Bake at 170c for 20mins



Me ready for CNY 2020 (haha), all packed and ready for delivery. Some are for relatives when visit them on CNY! Homemade cookie are the best!?

Basque Burnt Lemon Cheese Cake

Wohoo.. Here come my Basque Burnt Lemon Cheese Cake in the house. Our all time favorite. 


What you need:
-500g cream cheese (room temperature)
-100g brown sugar/condense milk
-200ml whipping cream
-4 large eggs (i use kampung egg)
-18g SSF
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-half lemon juice

Method : 
1) Preheat oven to 200c
2) Place eggs into TM bowl and mix for 20sec, sp 4
3) Add cream cheese and mix for 30sec, sp 5.5
4) Scrape down and mix another 30sec, sp 5.5
5) Add in brown sugar, lemon juice and vanilla extract and mix for 1 min, sp 5
6) Add whipping cream and mix for 30sec, sp5. Scrape down and mix for another 30sec, sp5
7) Add flour and mix for 2 mins, sp 5
8) Cook for 1 hour at 200c



Decorate as per your wish

Huat Kuih

My Huat Kuih for my Guan Yin. I saw outside sell 5pcs for RM4.50 and normally I need to buy 15pcs every month twice. But this time I can make myself jor..

What you need :
- 110g water (i use 100plus)
- 130g sugar (use Gula Melaka if u make brown sugar huat kuih)
- 1 egg
- 50g olive oil
- 250g SSF
- 100g coconut milk

Note :
For brown sugar huat kuih
- 130g Gula Melaka
- 110g water
(cook the gula melaka with water and let them cool down before mix into the other ingredients)

Method :
1) Blend everything into TM bowl for for 5sec and steam high heat for 12 mins





If you want the pink colour just add in the pink food colouring. 



Tried bamboo steamer and wok. Both also gave me the same outcome.


Homemade Tomato Puree

I seldom buy store made tomato puree due to I dislike tomato puree, since i got the recipe shared by one of the group in DHM so i decided to try it out.

What you need:-
- 2 red pepper
- Lots of tomatoes (cut quarter)
- cherry tomatoes (cut half)
- bay leave
- 2 carrot
- 8 to 10 cloves garlic
- 2 onions
- 20g olive oil

Method:-
1) bake red pepper in the oven for 40mins at 200c or until the skin charcoal
2) Chop garlic and onion in TM bowl for 5 sec at speed 5
3) In the TM bowl add 20g oil and saute the garlic and onion for 3 mins at 100c speed 2
4) Add in the tomatoes and red pepper
5) Blend for 5 sec at speed 5 (add more sec if you like more smoothies texture)
6) Add in the bay leave, salt and sugar and cook for 30 to 40 mins at 100c speed 2 or until it almost dry up
7) Store in a clean jar in the fridge up to 2 months in the freezer


I use the puree for my pizza, cheesy gyoza and ku lu yok





 Homemade tomato puree are the best for my family!

Peanut root chicken soup

Old people said when the kids reached 12 years old, they need to drink this peanut root chicken soup a few times to make them grow taller hahaha




What you need:-
-Peanut Root
-male kampung chicken
-Chinese wolfberries
-Red dates
-yuk zhuk

Method :-
1) Clean/brush the peanut root
2) Kampung chicken without skin (Optional)
3) Boil in a slow cooker for 8 hrs and serve hot




Quite delicious soup and not only my son can drink. I boiled this for my whole family. The taste not bad, just a bit troublesome to clean it up.
